I know we’re into the third month already and I do apologise for not doing a blog for the month of January and February.
The reason is and I’ll be honest, as I have been with my journey, I was totally exhausted. I couldn’t put two steps in front of each other to keep going. My brain was mentally exhausted, and I needed to take a break away from it all and recharge.
I also actually just had over two weeks of treatment recently and it actually forced me to slow down, which I really did.
So I laid around. I enjoyed the rest time, the home time, the down time to recuperate and reflect. Now we are at the start of March, and I’m feeling absolutely fantastic.
During this period I have come to better understand about the need to disconnect, reset and refocus so that we can set ourselves up better for future challenges. When we are trying to achieve something, we have got to be in the right mindset to be able to do it and to do it properly, you need focus. This can be achieved when we make the effort to look after ourselves and to invest in our own wellbeing.
Now that I have done that, I’m feeling great in myself and looking forward to getting back into the rhythm. It’s going to be an exciting March for me, starting with the International Women’s Day that’s coming up at the end of this week.
I can’t wait to share with you what I have lined up in the coming months and continue my journey with you. Let’s keep working together to stop domestic violence! 🙂
